- What are the open/close dates for fishing on Pearrygin Lake and is a license required?
Fishing licenses can be purchased at Pardners Mini Mart (gas station next to IGA grocery in Winthrop). Cost and age restrictions as well as the open/close dates can be found at: http://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/
- Is there cable TV and/or satellite reception?
At this time there is no cable in this area. Those who bring their own satellite dish get varied results depending on dish type and their location in park. We recommend a tri-pod for best results. But we do offer free DVD’s for check-out and have a book exchange.
- Is there cell service?
Due to our more remote location most carriers have limited service. Verizon works the best in this area.
- Do you have Wi-Fi and what is the cost?
Yes, we offer FREE Wi-Fi. But please note… the internet service available to us is the ONLY option at this time. It comes to us wirelessly and we re-transmit it wirelessly. Therefore, the signal can be weakened by any number of items (cell phones, hotspots, radios) and it will not stream or download. We fully understand the importance to keep in touch with the real world so we do our best to provide what is available to us. If you have specific needs (school work, work or other such as real estate) please see the office for options.
- Why do you charge for showers?
Our water system is on a well and we are also on a septic system. We charge for showers to keep the volume of water limited so our system can handle it. The cost of a shower has not increased in over ten years.
- Is the Resort water safe to drink?
Yes, our water is tested every quarter by Washington Department of Health and has never had any issues. It is just clean and natural well water. It could be considered “hard” water due to the high mineral content so some prefer bottled water for drinking and/or cooking but it is safe.
- When is the Wagon Wheel Kitchen open?
We are normally able to have the weekend pancake breakfast May through Labor Day.
- What discounts do you offer and when can they be applied?
Our seasonal rates and discounts can be found on our Rates Page.
- How far in advance can I make a reservation and how do I keep that site for future years?
We take reservations 365 days out from arrival date. We also have a “Grandfathering” policy – If you have been grandfathered into a site number for a specific week (this is the week number in our season we assign you) you have first right to re-book while you are here for next year. However, if you lapse beyond your departure date to re-book for next year you will lose that right. We also grant a one-time exception (things do happen such as weddings, graduations, mechanical breakdowns, etc.) to forgo your grandfathered reservation but you must re-book for the next year at the time of cancelation.
